Hello, this is Rick Ridings with a prayer alert. It’s July 29th in Jerusalem. We just had a powerful watch, praying into the scriptures regarding God’s long-term plans for the Middle East. And as we prayed for Gaza, we had a strong sense that it’s time to believe the Lord for a real breakthrough.
Isaiah 30:12-13: Believe God for a Breakthrough
As we prayed, one scripture that came to mind was Isaiah 30:12–13.
It says there “thus says the Holy One of Israel because you have rejected this message,” in other words, the truth of the God of Israel and the Bible and what he says and ultimately, of Jesus, of Yeshua, “because you have rejected this message and you have relied on oppression and upon deceit.”
Hamas has ruled by oppression for many years. People from Gaza say the oppression is like Pharaoh’s—bringing only death and destruction. Meanwhile, many Hamas leaders live in luxury apartments in Qatar worth millions of dollars.
God will only allow that to go on so long.
And we felt he was saying there in Isaiah chapter 30, when he says, because you’ve relied on oppression and depended upon deceit, upon lies, this sin shall become for you like a high wall cracked and bulging that collapses suddenly in an instant.

The Oppression and Deceit by Hamas is Cracking
Years ago, we prayed about the Berlin wall coming down, and when it finally came down we saw them with sledgehammers coming against this wall that the communists had used to keep the people of East Germany in great oppression. And they hit it, and it looked like all you saw were little cracks.
But suddenly, the last blow came and it collapsed in an instant.
So there have been a lot of blows of the word of God that we all have been proclaiming the scriptures over Gaza during this very long war. And I believe he’s saying this sin shall become for you like a high wall cracked and bulging that collapses suddenly in an instant.
So, I believe it’s time for us to press that, in an instant, things would begin to fall just like they did with Jericho. They went around and around, and it was a long march, and then the walls came down.
Hardening of Hearts and Final Judgments
Just like with Pharaoh, he had opportunity after opportunity after opportunity to repent with every plague.
Why did God do so many plagues? It was because He was in His great mercies, allowing Pharaoh to repent.
But finally, God said, “You’re past the point of possibility of repentance. It’s clear that you have hardened your heart.
And then God brought the final judgments upon Egypt. And amazingly, their hostages, the slaves, the children of Israel, were released, and a great number of Egyptians joined them. And God drowned Pharaoh and his armies in the sea.
Believe That God Will Tear Down These Walls of Oppression
So let’s believe that this is a moment for a turnaround, a moment for a breakthrough, a moment for the walls of oppression to finally come crumbling down that have oppressed the people of Gaza and, through them, the people of Israel for such a long time.
Our God is an awesome, mighty God who brought down the walls of Jericho, who drowned Pharaoh and his army in the sea, and brought the hostages out miraculously.
And so we are looking to Him for great miracles at this time. And I believe it’s time to press in for sudden, major breakthroughs that fully uproot Hamas in Gaza and that tear down the walls and open the doors for the kingdom of God to come in. Pray that ministries will be allowed to flood into that country and to bring the truth of salvation through the name of Jesus, Yeshua, and the kingdom of God.
Bless you from Jerusalem. Shalom. Shalom.
