Hello, this is Rick Ridings coming to you from Indonesia. I’ll be speaking for a national prayer conference, a national missions conference, and a regional prayer conference. But I wanted to bring you up to date on what we are sensing as we pray for Iran and for Israel.
Isaiah 28:6: A Spirit of Justice to the One Who Sits in Judgment
This is day five of this war, and I woke up this morning very strongly with this scripture in Isaiah 28:6:
“He will be a spirit of justice to the one who sits in judgment, a source of strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.”
And I thank you, Lord, that you are using Israel now to sit, as it were, on a throne of judgment at the gate of the city of Tehran, over the gate of the nation of Persia, of Iran.
You will bring forth the justice that you have planned, the judgments that are righteous and good altogether against this evil regime, which is a Pharaoh-like regime. Even as you gave Pharaoh many, many chances before you destroyed him, you have given them many, many chances.
And we believe this is your moment to judge this evil regime that has brought so much oppression and so much suffering upon their own people and through their proxies upon the nations of Lebanon and Gaza, upon the people of Gaza, and upon the people of Yemen, and upon the people of Israel. So, Lord, we believe you for this spirit of justice to carry out your swift justice upon this Pharaoh-like system and leadership.
You said you would be a source of strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate. As they are at the gates battling, would you be a strength to them, O God? Just in the middle of a long, long time of warfare, where they are so tired, would you refresh them supernaturally to be able to carry out your judgments at this time?
May Your Word Go Forth Like Lightning
And may it be quick. You reminded me this morning of the vision you gave me in October of 2019, when we declared the light of your word going forth as lightning and striking a demonic throne over Tehran, which was severely, severely set back. May that happen now.
May your word go forth like lightning, something sudden, something dramatic, and something rapid. May it not drag out into a long war, but may it be a rapid turning back of the battle at the gate. I pray that it will be contained and restrained.
That foreign powers such as Russia and China will not enter into this. This will not be a precursor escalating into a premature World War III. But we agree together, as you’ve shown us over and over, and we’ve prayed for many years now, that this would be contained and restrained to your purpose.
We believe you intend to uproot these evil terror regimes like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Iranian terror regime.
Lord, we believe you also for your word in Genesis 22:17–18, where you promised to Abraham,
“Blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is upon the seashore, and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies.”
We believe you, Lord, that they will possess this gate, not in order to expand. Thank you that Israel is not empire-building, kingdom-building. They’re just wanting to live in peace but also to set the people free of Persia.
So even as you used the king of Persia, Cyrus, to set free the Jewish Hebrew people to come home, would you now use your Jewish Hebrew people to set free the people of Persia, the people of Iran?
A Time to Dislodge
And this morning, my wife Patricia received a word, which we sent out on many lists, that it was time to dislodge. This was a word the Lord gave her about the election, but we believe it’s now very, very important to pray that any people who need to be dislodged from the council around President Trump would be dislodged.
We pray that any unwise counsel will have the mute button put on it, and the wise counsel will be turned up in volume.
And we believe you also, Lord, for the dislodging of this evil regime in Tehran, that you will have mercy not only upon Israel but upon the people of Iran, of Persia, and their proxies who have suffered so much because of this evil, evil terrorist regime.
Lord, glorify your name and open great doors of blessing and harvest upon the whole Middle East and upon Persia, Iran, and Israel at this time.

How encouraging to see an intercessor from Oxford UK here who prays for Israel! Just this morning I told someone that the enemy has such a grip on Oxford, but I believe it is because it has such a prophetic destiny to lead in the nations which can be seen historically. Whenever I remember Hugh Latimar the matyr burned in Oxford, I have great hope for England. As he walked to the stake in 1555 he said: “We shall this day light such a candle, by God’s grace, in England, as I trust shall never be put out” Amen!!
