This is Sunday, and I’m coming to you right after Hezbollah intended a major missile barrage, with thousands of missiles and drones, but the IDF actually preempted it during the night.
You can hear some of the calls to prayer from the mosques around us. It often tends to get louder at times that serious things are going on here. And today, it’s amazing what God did to protect Israel.
Psalm 29:3: Our Prayer Against Hezbollah
And I just want to share with you a scripture that we claimed yesterday here, and then I’ll explain the news of what just happened. The scripture yesterday that God brought out so strongly on Saturday in the watch here was Psalm 29, starting at verse three:
“The voice of the Lord is over the waters. The God of glory thunders. The Lord thunders over the mighty waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful. The voice of the Lord is majestic, and the voice of the Lord breaks the cedars. The Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.”
Now, the symbol of Hezbollah, the terrorist group that has oppressed Lebanon and has continually been firing rockets into the north of Israel is the cedar of Lebanon. Three weeks since Israel eliminated one of their major commanders, they’ve threatened a major military offensive against Israel.
Patricia and I have been there. We visited the House of Prayer in Beirut. They took us to the mountains.
We saw these ancient cedars of Lebanon. They’re huge. Huge, gigantic trees, 2,000, 3,000-year-old trees.
They’ve endured for all of these millennia. And so they’re such a symbol of strength.
But the Lord says here in Psalm 29, The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars. The Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.
It actually could be transited, the Lord splinters those huge trees. We prayed this Saturday that the Lord would splinter, would divide, would confuse Hezbollah in whatever their plans were against Israel.
The News From Israel Real-Time Defense
Then, during the night, Israeli intelligence had a clear, absolutely clear direction that Hezbollah was planning to send thousands of rockets at 5:00 AM in the morning.
Let me read what is said here. This is in something called Israel Real-Time Defense. It says the IDF foils Hezbollah’s massive rocket attack on Israel.
“Israeli media reports that Hezbollah planned to launch at least 6,000 rockets and UAVs in a massive barrage towards Central and Northern Israel. According to the IDF, the Hezbollah Terror Group intended to launch projectiles at Central Israel this morning.”
In fact, Israel shut down their airport, which they hardly ever do early this morning. However, the military foiled the attack during preemptive strikes. They went in the night.
It says, “the majority of the Hezbollah rocket launchers were struck by the Israeli Air Force this morning and were aimed at Northern Israel.”
It says, “In total, thousands of Hezbollah rocket launchers were struck simultaneously by about 100 Israeli Air Force fighter in the preemptive attacks.
The IDF released footage of the airstrikes in Southern Lebanon showing that more than 100 fighter jets target thousands of Hezbollah rocket launchers intended for this attack upon Israel.
Israeli media, quoting security sources, reported that Hezbollah intended to strike both operational and symbolic targets, such as the airport and airfields and power plants and seaports. But the IDF instead preemptively struck more than 200 targets during his preemptive operation.”
And then it says, “the subsequent Hezbollah rocket fire toward Northern Israel was described as, erratic and amateurish.” In other words, they didn’t have that many rockets that they could quickly do something with, and they were just firing them off, but not really at clear targets.
It was erratic, it was amateurish. God is confusing enemies.
Once again, God has risen. We praise God for his intervention.
Keep on Praying
You remember on Tisa B’Av, we asked you to be praying, and there was a major earthquake, something like 5.4 in Lebanon and Syria, that may very well have stopped plans that Hezbollah had at that time.
Then now this morning, on Sunday morning, during the night, there was this preemptive air strike taking out, it says here, about 200 targets of major missile launchers. So we just thank you for your prayers.
Keep on praying. We need them. This could have been a very different day than it is.
Instead of the airport closing down, instead of massive damage all over the country to civilian targets, God protected Israel once again. So we thank you for your prayers that are part of this protection as we proclaim the power of the blood and name of Jesus, of Yeshua, over every border of Israel, including this northern border with Lebanon.
Psalm 29:6: He Makes Lebanon Leap Like a Calf
And then I just want to close with this in Psalm 29, further after it talks about the voice of the Lord, splintering these cedars of Lebanon, dividing them, taking away their strength. He says then in verse 6 of Psalm 29, “He makes Lebanon leap like a calf.”
In other words, God’s goal is also for the people of Lebanon. He loves the people of Lebanon, and He’s saying they were set free from a yoke upon them.
We need to continue to pray that the people of Lebanon may be set free from the yoke of this terror group Hezbollah, and that they could leap like a calf.
He says, Syria begins to leap like a young wild ox. So God’s heart desire is freedom for Syria and for Lebanon and for Israel.
Then he says, again, the voice of the Lord strikes with flashes of lightning.
Our Prayer: Splinter Hezbollah, Make Lebanon Leap
So Lord, we thank you. Your voice has gone forth once again.
We thank you in the watch yesterday how you brought up these verses so strongly to proclaim that your voice would strike the cedars of Lebanon, Hezbollah, and that they would be splintered, they would be divided, they would be weakened, they would be confused.
And we see that that’s exactly what happened this morning. And so we thank you, Lord, for the ways you are watching over this land.
We thank you for the wisdom you gave to the decision makers here in Israel to do a preemptive strike against these missile launchers.
Thank you that they will continue to get accurate information ahead of time to be able to stop the carnage, the bloodshed, that would come forth from this massive attack.
We thank you, Lord, that You who watch over Israel, never slumber. You never sleep.
We just thank you, Lord, that you are watching over this country, as we watch over it with You. And we thank you for your love for our for our neighbors, that you want Lebanon to skip like a calf that’s led out of its stall, that’s led out of its bondage.
We pray that this terrible bondage of Hezbollah would be broken over Lebanon, and that the people of Lebanon would find freedom and joy, and most of all, in You, A mighty outpouring of revelation of who You are here in Israel and in Lebanon.
In the name of Yeshua, Amen.
We appreciate you keeping us informed of what is seen coming ,your watchman eye and results to Glorify FATHER…Shalom Shalom
Glory to God for His wonderful goodness and mercies . He is the mighty defender of Israel indeed!!!! Hallelujah!!!
Hallelujah!! Truly the Lord has shielded Israel from those 1000’s of rockets by the pr-emptive attack on the launchers!! Thank You Lord, thank You!! He promised in Psalm 3:3, “But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, my glory who lifts my head.” Singing, “My glory and the lifter of my head.” And Genesis 15: 1, “After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not be afraid, Abram, I am your shield, your exceeding great reward.” Handwritten on the prayer point page: “the LORD will be a SHIELD at ALL times!” and “every move by Iran and it’s proxies be thwarted in Jesus’ name. “
“……The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by Him,…..” (see Deuteronomy 33: 12)
For You are the glory of their strength; by Your favor our horn is exalted. For our shield belongs to the Lord, our king to the Holy One of Israel. Psalm 89:17-18
This afternoon, I believe I was led to Psalm 89 as I prayed for Israel. The passion that welled up in me took me by surprise. “For Adonai keeps his eyes on the righteous and His ears are open to their prayers; but the face of Adonai is against those who do evil things.” May the Holy One of Israel bless and reward them according to His Word.
