As many are aware, a person considered the number two leader of Hamas internationally and also the head of the military wing was recently eliminated in Beirut. And as a result, there’s been a call for a day of rage. They’re calling supporters of Hamas to violence and to rise up in ways that they have not so far, especially here in East Jerusalem.
Many have been so surprised the supporters of Hamas within Jerusalem did not rise up and commit October 7 types of atrocities here already. But we thank the Lord for your prayers that we believe are protecting us from that.
Prayers for Silencing Voices of Violence
And so I’d like to encourage you to pray against these demonic attacks and that the people who trumpet those demonic voices of incitement will be silenced tomorrow January fifth, and that even if the mosques call people to violence, there will not be a real response to that and that all will be surprised at how they did not play into the hands of Hamas, this evil terror entity.
Past Prayers for God’s Restraining of Demonic Voices
So, as we were praying about this, I was reminded a few years ago when we were having a lot of knife attacks here in Jerusalem. And the Lord gave me a picture at that time, as I prayed, of a demonic power that looked like a dragon coming down on the Temple Mount.
But the Lord put him in a prison cell and put a gag eventually on his mouth.
We prayed and declared that what God had done in the heavens would happen on earth, and there would be a gag and restrain order on the demonic voices that were inciting the violence of these knifings.
Increasingly, many were predicting they would become a daily thing, that they would become maybe even a major intifada uprising again. But praise God, within a very short time after, the incitement died down.
They found the man who was the main instigator. People were smuggling tapes out of the prison from where he was inciting this violence. And, praise God, they found out about it, and they stopped the tapes and put him in solitary confinement.
Immediately, everything died down. Just within days, it was quiet again without this rise in violence and knifings that had been anticipated in the press.
So we thank you for your prayers with us and for us, especially for tomorrow, January fifth.
Pray with Us Against These Potential Demonic Attacks
Lord God of Israel, we thank you that you are the same God who shut the mouths of the lion for Daniel in the lion’s den. They would have devoured him. And Lord, you see that Kamaas, Isbala, the Iranian regime would devour Israel if possible.
They’ve stated this as their goal. But we look to you, Lord God of Israel, Lord God of the universe, not only for the people of Israel’s sake, but for the sake of people in Gaza, people in Lebanon, people in Iran, that you would shut evil mouths of incitement.
And we pray this, especially tomorrow here, Lord, in places like Jerusalem, East Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus, Shem, all of these places that they are encouraging to have a day of rage and incitement to violence.
We pray that you will stop the mouth of the lion.
We pray, according to your word in Isaiah 54:17, that no weapon formed against us will prosper or succeed.
And we just look to you, oh Lord, to push the mute button on this incitement, both in the demonic realm and the earthly ones who serve those demonic voices.
Close the mouth of the lion, we pray. And we pray that this will pass quickly and that it’ll even be a very peaceful Shabbat here on Saturday in Jerusalem and in these cities.

Father we speak Isaiah 35 upon Israel, Your Kingdom comes, Your will be done Thank you, Lord!
3Strengthen the feeble hands,
steady the knees that give way;
4 say to those with fearful hearts,
“Be strong, do not fear;
your God will come,
he will come with vengeance;
with divine retribution
he will come to save you.”
5 Then will the eyes of the blind be opened
and the ears of the deaf unstopped.
6 Then will the lame leap like a deer,
and the mute tongue shout for joy.
Water will gush forth in the wilderness
and streams in the desert.
7 The burning sand will become a pool,
the thirsty ground bubbling springs.

Thanks again for such an appropriate prayer. Many here in South Africa pray unceasingly for Israel, all God’s people here and across the world grafted into the Olive Tree, and especially now during Ramadan that Muslims all over the world will have encounters with the Living Messiah Yeshua, through dreams and visions and other ways, so that this Ramadan may become known as the “Ramadan of Salvation”.
It is amazing how many passages in the Word (like Isaiah 35) are so appropriate for especially Israel at a time like this.
With reference to the silencing of the voice of the enemy, here follows a paraphrase of parts of Psalm 140. “Thank You LORD, that NOW YOU WILL RESCUE US us from evil people and protect us from those who are violent, those who plot evil in their hearts and stir up trouble all day long. Their TONGUES STING LIKE A SNAKE; the venom of a viper drips from their lips. Now You will no longer allow the proud to set a trap to catch us, nor to stretch out a net or place traps all along the way.
We say to YOU LORD, “YOU ARE OUR GOD!” Thank You that You will hear and answer our cries for mercy! O SOVEREIGN LORD, You are the STRONG ONE who rescue us, You protect us on the day of battle. Thank You LORD, You will not let evil people have their way nor that their evil schemes succeed, lest they become even more proud (of themselves). Let our enemies be destroyed by the very evil they have planned for us. Let burning coals fall down on their heads. Let them be thrown into the fire or into watery pits (they have dug themselves) from which they cannot escape…so that they still may have an opportunity to come to repentance. Thank You LORD that You will NOT let SLANDERERS AND LIARS (Hamas, Iran etc and the false propaganda of the media) PROSPER anymore here in our land, and all over the world.
We praise You Lord that now You will help Your People who are constantly persecuted by the enemy; and You will show them Your justice. Surely YOUR RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE shall now PRAISE YOUR NAME; and the GODLY will LIVE IN YOUR PRESENCE.
