A Prophetic Word to South Africa, July 3rd, 2018

As I was in South Africa this past week, I felt the Lord speak strongly into my spirit that: “This is a tipping point time for South Africa”, What happens in these next months will set a direction that will be much more difficult to change later.   South Africa is in the balances as to whether it will become a sheep nation or a goat nation.”

I had only planned a brief onsite prayer in Pretoria at the Union Buildings with a small team as I had a layover in South Africa on my way to speak for the IRIS (with Heidi and Rolland Baker) School in Mozambique.  This prayer assignment was to pray into a vision I had received this past January in which I saw demonic powers feverishly working to build a demonic bridge from South Africa up the whole continent to Egypt, and then on to Jerusalem.  Its purpose was to pull the nations of Africa to stand against the Lord’s biblical end-times purposes for Israel and more specifically, Jerusalem. {That vision is attached at the end of this prophetic word, for those who want to know more detail].

The desire of the Lord for South Africa was to roar over the nation and over that demonic bridge to destroy it, and to instead see the heavenly bridge of the Lord established from South Africa to Egypt to Jerusalem.

Daniel discerned the time and season of the Lord, that the seventy years prophesied by Jeremiah were fulfilled, and that the time for Israel to return from exile in Babylon was at hand.  But he did not sit idly by. 

He says: ‘So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes.  I prayed to the Lord my god and confessed: ‘Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your command and laws.  We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes and our ancestors, to all the people of the land.’ (Daniel 9:3-6, NIV).

I believe that the Lord is calling for such a Daniel type of response from his South African believers, to “humble themselves on behalf of, and in identification with, the current trend to give in to Moslem oil money pressure to stand against Israel.  I sense the Lord saying that if South Africa persists in giving in to such intimidation, they will have opened a door for Islam to spread quickly in their nation, eventually leading to many severe terror attacks.

But the balance of power does not lie with the politicians.  It lies with the people of God.  If they take 2 Chronicles 7:14 seriously on this issue of aligning with either the Muslim oil nations’ pressure, or standing with God’s Word concerning His heart and plans for Israel and Jerusalem, they can see their government and nation shift.  They can see the destruction of the demonic highways of antis-Semitism and “goat” type rebellion against God’s choices.  They can see instead a “sheep” type of obedience to and alignment with the Word of God.    They can see heavenly highways established that will bring great freedom and blessing to not only South Africa, but to a great majority of the African nations that will follow their lead.

I submit this to prayer leaders in South Africa to discern, and if they discern it is from the Lord, to seek him as to how to respond.   I pray with all my heart that South Africa will fulfill its destiny and calling as a key nation of influence for the whole of Africa.
