Today is Wednesday, the 10th of January. In our understanding, tomorrow, the 11th and the 12th, Israel will be facing charges brought against it by South Africa in the International Criminal or the International Justice Court in The Hague. And this seems like a foregone conclusion because Israel is one of the most, if not the most, careful army in the whole world to avoid civilian casualties and to do precise attacks.
Hamas is the Initiator of the War
Hamas started this whole war. Israel did not start it.
Hamas, even in their charter, states that their goal is the total eradication of the Jewish people, and they’re totally determined to push Israel out of their ancient homeland. And so this is such a crazy upside-down type of thing.
But we believe God that He will turn what Satan meant for evil around for good, that this will somehow remove a lot of the arguments the Devil is trying to use in very false accusations against Israel, for example, that they want to commit genocide at the cleansing..
Prayers for Israel in the Hague as They Face Charges
There are some scriptures that we just need to pray here in Jerusalem today.
And if you could join together with me, one of these is Isaiah 5:20, 21, 23, and 24:
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and shrewd in their own sight… who acquit the guilty for a bribe, and deprive the innocent of his right! Therefore, as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root will be as rottenness, and their blossom go up like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, and have despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
Then Isaiah 54:17, We proclaim over Israel, and especially over this court case, that
no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me declares the Lord.
And then a last scripture, Psalm 33:10-12:
The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; he frustrates the plans of the peoples. The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations.
Then He says,
Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!
So from Jerusalem, we believe you, Lord, that your light will prevail over darkness, your truth will prevail over falsehood, and that this will somehow turn around for good, that it will truly boomerang upon the devil, even for the people of Gaza, so that they can realize that they’ve been lied to and that they can be set free from the evil oppression of Hamas.
God Will Bring Hamas to Repentance or Remove Them
We believe you, Lord, that Hamas leaders will repent and turn to you. If not, they will be removed, like evil spiders and evil spider webs. Their webs of systems of evil will be broken.
For the sake of your people, Israel, and the sake of the people in Gaza, Lord, we call upon you to arise and to deal with Hamas and the lying culture that has come forth from the Father of Lies. May the people of that land, the people of Gaza, be set free from the oppression of these lies of this terror group.
May Israel be set free and able to live once again, as it did on October sixth, in a place of security, not with the fear of another October seventh massacre. Arise, O God, and bless your inheritance.
