It’s the 22nd of February and we’re waiting to see what will happen in our region. But in the meantime, I wanted to share with you to pray into something the Lord showed to us here in Succat Hallel back in 2004.

During Ramadan, Fight for Revival

We’d been through four years of bus bombings, suicide bombings here in this city. And one of the things that the Lord spoke to us during Ramadan, when we could feel just such a heavy spiritual oppression in the atmosphere, is “I don’t want you to fight for survival. I want you to fight for revival.” He said, “Don’t go on the defensive, but go on the offensive.”

And I felt the Lord said for us to really pray that much territory would be taken for the kingdom of God during Ramadan.

Back then in 2004 when we were praying, we did not yet have a facility for Succat Hallel where we could have 24/7 prayer. And during that same time others were looking for venues.

And long story short, we prayed that the Lord let us take territory by opening up facilities. And during that time of Ramadan, that 30 days, amazingly, he led us miraculously to the first place where we could have 24/7 prayer meetings for Succat Hallel. And during that same time, the Pavilion, the King of Kings ministry, had been working on their facility for a long, long time.

And it was able to suddenly be finished and open up during Ramadan. Another ministry, friends of ours, were looking for a place for a drug ministry, a Messianic drug rehab center and found it during Ramadan. So three properties were released during that time, and we realized territory was taken for the kingdom of God.

And we know it’s not only due to us but amazingly as we went a short time later into that new facility, by God’s grace there was never again a successful bus bombing in Jerusalem. There were many attempts but not another successful one.

Pray for Ministry Opportunities in the Middle East

So we believe there’s something very key during this time, and we’d like to ask you to pray for something very specific. By the grace of God we’ve been invited to do a youth Dor Haba worship and media camp in Dubai.

Young people would be coming from there and from other places in Dubai, and we’ll be having Hebrew speaking youth from here, about 17 from here, in Jerusalem. They’ll be going there to minister together and to be one, Jew and Gentile together Hebrew speaking, Arabic speaking, English speaking together as they worship and as they do media projects together in the evenings.

So please pray for us on the 4th and 6th of March in Dubai. Then the 10th through the 12th, we’re having a gathering where we bring together house of prayer leaders from all over the Middle East to pray for each other and hear what the Lord is saying.

And that’s a very key time. And then right after that, Patricia and I are scheduled to be part of a tour group going to Saudi Arabia. And we just feel it’s very significant the timing of all of this.

Now obviously with everything on the precipice of perhaps a very major military strike in the region with Iran. We need your prayers. And so please pray that no military or a security situation will cause a cancellation of any of our flights to Dubai or from Dubai or to Saudi Arabia. But pray that we can fulfill what we feel the Lord has given to us as assignments during this time in order to take territory during this time of the lunar fast.

Jeremiah 49: God Setting His Throne in Elam

And it’s interesting that it’s a lunar fast because the Hebrew calendar is built upon the moon and so is the calendar that is used in the Islamic world to start Ramadan. So they started it on the evening of the 17th of February. But that was also the evening of the first of the month of Adar in the Hebrew calendar.

And the month of Adar is the month where we celebrate Purim. This is where Esther turned around Elam, in the royal province that was the foundational province for Persia. So we’ve been proclaiming all these scriptures from Jeremiah 49 about Elam, God setting his throne there and this seems very significant.

 I will set my throne in Elam
and destroy her king and officials,”
declares the Lord.

“Yet I will restore the fortunes of Elam
in days to come,”
declares the Lord.

The venue we were going to use for the youth was not available when we wanted on the weekend instead had to start on the 4th of March and only afterwards did we realize that is such pouring it’s it’s a time of God when there was the great turnaround under Queen Esther and Mori so let us press in together and believe the Lord that during this time there will be great turnaround, but that it will not result in any cancellations of of our flights or of these these gatherings, but they’ll be just at the perfect time to take territory, take ground for the kingdom of God.

Isaiah 24:21-23: The Moon Will Be Dismayed

I’d like to close with one last Scripture that the Lord highlighted today here in Succat Hallel. That’s Isaiah 24:21- 23. It says,

In that day the Lord will punish

the powers in the heavens above

and the kings on the earth below.

They will be herded together

like prisoners bound in a dungeon;

they will be shut up in prison

and be punished[a] after many days.

And then he says:

The moon will be dismayed,

the sun ashamed;

for the Lord Almighty will reign

on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem,

And then it says in Isaiah 25:7,

On this mountain he will destroy

the shroud that enfolds all peoples,

the sheet that covers all nations;

So that veil, that shroud of death will be removed one day completely, that shroud of death. But we believe this is a time of the first fruits of the shroud of death, the veil of death being removed off all the eyes of people in the Middle East.
