It’s the 2nd of February, and I felt very strongly this morning. I woke up with a sense of real disappointment that at least up until this point, it’s difficult to understand why President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu made certain promises that so far have not been kept.
Horses and Chariots vs Trusting in the Lord: Psalm 20:7
That may all change today, but the Lord spoke to my heart and He said, “You’re trusting in horses. You’re trusting in chariots. You’re trusting in military might instead of trusting in me.” And so I repented and asked the Lord to forgive me.
And I just want to encourage us all, if any of you have been doing that then we should all speak back to the Lord Psalm 20 7 and 8, that some say I trust in chariots and some in horses but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. Then speaking of His enemies: they are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.
So yes, we want to keep praying for these leaders of some of the important decisions concerning what will be done to help bring down the regime of Iran, the evil regime that the Lord told us about from the beginning in 2023, right after October 7th. He said to pray that there will not just be a pruning but a full uprooting of the jihadist groups.
This includes the Iranian regime. So not just his kamas and Houthis but also the Iranian regime. So we’re standing on that word here that we believe God gave to us to believe for the full uprooting which obviously means the full collapse of the Iranian regime.
But the Lord again spoke to me this morning. Our trust must ultimately be that God does it however he chooses to do it. God is God. He is almighty.

Delivering the Children of Israel from the Hands of Egypt
And I think it’s interesting that the parasa, the scriptures that were read in the synagogue last Friday and Saturday are about God delivering the children of Israel out of bondage, out of oppression, out of slavery, uh out of Egypt. And God dealt with Pharaoh and God sovereignly brought him down.
He gave Pharaoh opportunity after opportunity to repent. But when he did not repent, then at a certain point, God said, “That’s it.” And then God miraculously made a way where there was no way for the people who were oppressed, his Hebrew people.
And he drowned Pharaoh and his chariots, the strength, the military might spoken of here, in the depths of the sea. And there was a great multitude. It says of Egyptians that went out with them and believed in the Lord God.
So through everything that God did, many many turned from false worship to the worship of the true and living God and joined themselves to him. But Pharaoh and all of his officials, all of his army were drowned in the sea.
So I’d like to preach some things from the reading this week. Exodus 15 in verses 1-18. It’s called the song of Moses and Miriam.
And I’ll just pray them into and apply them to the present situation concerning the collapse of the Iranian regime. That pharaoh, may he harden his heart. If they’ll not repent, may the Ayatollah Kamei and all of those who are allied with him either repent or may they be removed sovereignly by the Lord God Almighty.
The Song of Moses
So this is the song Moses and the Israelites sang.
“I will sing to the Lord,
for he is highly exalted.
Both horse and driver
he has hurled into the sea.The Lord is my strength and my defense;
he has become my salvation.
He is my God, and I will praise him,
my father’s God, and I will exalt him.The Lord is a warrior;
the Lord is his name.Pharaoh’s chariots and his army
he has hurled into the sea.
The best of Pharaoh’s officers
are drowned in the Red Sea.The deep waters have covered them;
they sank to the depths like a stone.Your right hand, Lord,
was majestic in power.
Your right hand, Lord,
shattered the enemy.“In the greatness of your majesty
you threw down those who opposed you.
Our Prayer for Leaders and Nations
We pray that those leaders will make the right decisions for Israel, USA right now. We’ll make right decisions for their sake. But we thank You, Lord.
We don’t look to them. We don’t trust in their might. We trust in you and your might by it says you unleashed your burning anger and it consumed them like stubble.
So once again, consuming completely, not just a slap on the hand or a pruding, but a deep uprooting, a full consuming fire by the blast of your nostrils.
Surging waters stood up like a wall. The deep waters congealed in the heart of sea. Lord, you just breathe through your nose and major major things happen.
The enemy boasted, “I will pursue. I will overtake them. I will divide the spoils. I will gorge myself on them. I will draw my sword and my hand will destroy them.”
God, we ask you to hear. We know You will take account of the boasts of this Iranian regime, this evil regime, and what they are boasting that they will do, that they will wipe out Israel, they will wipe out the Jewish people.
But you hear their boasting. And just like Pharaoh, You blew with your breath and the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters. They just sank to the bottom.
Who among the gods is like You, Lord? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders? You stretch out your right hand and the earth swallows your enemies.
In your unfailing love, You will lead the people you have redeemed. We believe You will lead not only your redeemed people of Israel, but we believe you to lead all the Iranian believers that you will lead them in your strength.
You will guide them to Your holy dwelling. The nations will hear and tremble.
Anguish will grip the people of Felistia. The chiefs of Edom will be terrified. The leaders of Moab will be seized with trembling. The people of Canaan will melt away.
Terror and dread will fall on them. So we proclaim today, let terror fall on the terrorists. Let the terror of the Lord fall upon the Iranian uh proxies, Hezbollah, Kamas, the Houthis, all others.
May anguish grip them. May they hear and tremble. May they melt away. May terror and dread fall upon them.
By the power of your arm, they will be as still as a stone, that stone thrown in the water until Your people passed by, Lord.
And we thank you, Lord. You did this for the children of Israel when they were delivered from Pharaoh. And we believe You to do it for the children of Persia as they are delivered from this evil Pharaoh spirit.
Then you spoke to your people Israel and you said, “You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance.” That’s a reference to the Temple Mount that you see right behind me here.
The place, oh Lord, that you made for Your dwelling, Your sanctuary, Lord, your hand established. So Lord, we continue to believe you as well for Your protection whatever may happen upon the people of Israel to keep them planted in this land and planted on your holy hill.
Let them honor You, oh Lord. The Lord reigns forever and ever. So we thank you Lord that you reign right now from Jerusalem, from your holy hill.
We thank you Lord Jesus Yeshua that you are according to Psalm 2 the appointed king.
God Almighty your father has appointed You as king on your holy hill, and You are reigning. And we look to You. We don’t trust in chariots. We don’t trust in horses. We trust in You in the name of Yeshua, Amen.
